                Located on the south-eastern end of Pamban Island (or Rameshwaram Island) in Tamil Nadu, Dhanushkodi was ravaged and abandoned following a cyclonic storm in 1964. All that’s left is the ruins that serve as a reminder of the once prosperous town. this is  the image of this tragic and fascinating place.

                                        Pamban Bridge

                              Pamban Bridge is a railway bridge which connects the town of Mandapam in mainland India with Pamban Island, and Rameswaram. Opened on 24 February 1914, it was India's first sea bridge, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in 2010.
